So baseball season has begun for my boys which means 2 different teams, 2 different practice schedules, and two different game schedules.  Factor this on top my daughter’s gymnastics schedule, my work schedule, some additional work responsibilities I just took on AND the general day to day mom responsibilities (you know – the cleaning, cooking, laundry, homework helping, chauffeuring, coordinating, food shopping, and all other assigned duties) and my days are jammed packed from the moment I wake up until the moment I go to bed.  Forget any me time from now until at least June.  To say I am stretched to the max or stretched thin is an understatement to say the least.  Have I bitten off more than I can chew? Maybe, but it’s not as if the majority of this can be avoided.  As moms it’s what we do, who we are, and what seems to be expected of us.  Navigating, coordinating, and creative solutions are our forte.  Sleepless night, stressful days, and an impending sense of doom linger over our heads and we scramble to make arrangements, call in favors, beg, bargain, and switch around our lives all in the name of motherhood and career.
